Games, and board gaming, have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Through board gaming I have found community, friendships, and through game design, an outlet for my imagination and creativity. I have been designing games as a hobby for over seven years, have incorporated games and game design into philosophy classrooms (ranging from grade 6 to university), and now design and develop games professionally.
I design games to inspire, feed the imagination, create community, reinforce friendships, and provide players with opportunities to create memories and stories together. As agency and authorship are central to my designs, when designing games I am always challenging myself to answer the question: “What stories will players tell, and how will they be the authors of those stories?”
